GOOD MORNING!!!!!!! Where are we going today?? Why not to see the statue of Sarmiento?? All my argentines will know who he was, but for all of you foreigners. LOL. Here is some of his story.

He was an educator, a statesman and a writer. Rose from country schoolmaster to become President of Argentina (1868-1874). He founded the public education system.

But before we got there, we walked and walked! And this is what we found in our way, Cheers yes!!!

Going back to the beginning of this blog, Sarmiento statue is in one of Boston‘s most beautiful avenues, Commonwealth Ave, here are some pics

After walking and walking (it is not a repetition) lot of miles!!! We got tired and took Uber to our next destination.

we got to the Navy Yard where we saw the USS Constitution, know as the old Ironside, she is the world’s oldest commissioned naval warship still afloat, First launched in 1797

Then we walked to the Bunker Hill Monument, erected in the site of the Battle of Bunker Hill, one of the first major battles between the Red Coats and the Patriots in the American Revolutionary War (I am sure you did not expect a history lesson in this blog!!!!!

Across it, USS Cassin Young a destroyer commissioned in 1943 (the year I was born!) The ship honor Captain Cassin Young who earned the Medal of Honor at Pearl Harbor.

Now a Boston View

End to our day, yes, with a drink that Jackie prepares!!!!!
